In my last post I brought up the tuxedo jacket trend for this Spring. Above I have paired this gorgeous DKNY tuxedo blazer with these Spring-embracing colors. This outfit yells “Hello, Sun!” and “Here I come!” Like I mentioned before, I just love how polished and powerful these tuxedo jackets look. This tuxedo jacket is so strong you could wear it with these ultra-feminine accessories and still be the power-house you are.
For February it’s all lovey-dovey songs for these Music-Inspired Looks and this powerful tux look is no exception. “Brand New Start” is the inspirer for this week. Unlike last week’s JJ Heller look this outfit’s inspiration is maybe a little less apparent, besides the “throwing off your overcoat” nod to the beginning of Spring. But if you take a closer look at the album cover for Little Joy’s self-titled album you will see the polka-dots and the turquoise-coral-pink trio from which I drew my inspiration. I love the lightness of this song and these colors. Could you see yourself wearing this outfit?

Love the brights paired with that jacket! Perfect for spring :)
I love that polka dot shirt, I bought a similar one recently and have been trying to decide how to wear it.

I can’t wait to see how you style it. These small polka-dotted tops are my favorite.

LOVE the jacket! And if I was a younger woman I would wear those shoes. One of you girls need to do it for me!!

I like the mix of mint and coral. There’s a sweater at Target by Prabal Gurung that mixed the two colors, and I never realized how beautifully they complement one another.
I know! It’s my newest and most favorite color combination. They are both such great colors.
