For a JJ Heller Look

108

Okay, everyone, NERD MOMENT. One-hundred eight is my favorite number. I really can’t remember when that was decided, but I just love the way 1, 0, and 8 all look in a row. This post is my 108th post, and I really couldn’t let it slide by without making a big deal about it. What can I say? That’s just my style. On to my 108th post!

LookFebWeek1

Iris & Ink Blouse, Miss Selfridge Blazer, Paul Smith Skirt, Rachel Comey Shoes, Alkemie Moon Earrings, American Eagle Beaded Bracelet, Anthropologie Deco Bangle, John Lewis Opal Ring, Belle Noel Glamrock Ring, Charlotte Russe Iridescent Ring, Charlotte Russe Iridescent Bracelet, Max&Chloe Necklace, Moschino Leather Boat Bag

Today’s Music-Inspired Look is modeled after “Boat Song” by JJ Heller. All this month’s Music-Inspired Looks will be inspired by lovey-dovey songs (since February is “love month” and all) and will feature an item representing the trend-highlight for the week. This week: The Holographic or Iridescent trend.

I listened to everyone’s comments on my recent post about the holographic trend and was pleased to hear I was not the only one a little intimidated by this trend. I think we mostly agreed we could pull off a few super shiny, iridescent things here and there as long as we weren’t putting on space-pants and rolling out of the house. Here’s a look that I believe suits this iridescent/holograph trend well. The colors in this skirt are gorgeous and how silly-but-it-is-definitely-working-for-me is that boat purse?

I love JJ Heller. She’s one of my favorite artists.

Also, I was born 01/08/88. So your love of the number “108″ speaks to me personally.
