For Floating Beds

floatingbeds

The very first bed pictured is Anthropologie’s Barnwood Floating Bed which I’ve been eyeing here and there for quite some time now. I love the idea of having a floating bed, though I don’t know what that situation might lend to my sleep cycle—or my dreams for that matter. These are a few beds I found on Pinterest and I just had to share them with you. How incredible is that floating boat bed? I’m so in love…

Feel free to check out my Pinterest as I have been spending a little more time there developing my many boards. Of course you can always catch the back-story glimpses of my life on my Instagram as well as my Facebook Page. Tonight I’ll be going to the San Jose Sharks game so you can look forward to some excited tweeting as well.

  11. Hi doll! What a cool concept- I would love to do this at my house, too. I do wonder about how it would effect sleep/dream cycles, and also how my (spoiled!) dogs would navigate jumping up and down on the bed!

I’m now following you via instagram; feel free to follow back: @ashrockchalk.

Take care and hope you had fun at the Sharks game!

    • I guess if you get a big, sturdy one and hang it a little above the ground it wouldn’t feel as dangerous.

I’m glad your friend is a fellow Sharks fan! You should join in… It’s a good time to be a fan of the Sharks. =]

  14. Wow these are so cool looking! When I was younger I always wanted a hammock bed but I’m pretty sure I’d fall out of it :p

  15. I wonder if they rock at all? It’s a cool idea- but I’m also scared I’ll get seasick from the swaying and rocking!

  16. Adds such a lightness to a room! Also loving the rustic vibes. But yeah I second Sam, my head spins enough already when im sleeping i think i’d truly get motion sickness sleeping on these, let alone a constant fear of my ceiling caving in on me :P
