I really am unsure about this iridescent, holographic trend. I like the look of some of these items, but I have no idea how I’d style most of them. I’m pretty sure these pants could be worn to a space-age theme party and finding me in dimly-lit rooms would be SUPER easy with any of these clutches or shoes. Besides those asides, that iPhone case and that brooch are super awesome. What from this collection do you like? There has to be at least one thing—I mean, you’re looking at twenty items here. So what do you think? How are you feeling about this Iridescent or Holographic trend?

Gorgeous pieces! I love the heels, pants and shirt!

I love this trend to a certain extend because I’m sure no one wants to look like they’ve got a bad case of disco fever.
However I do have to say that some items like the iPhone case are pretty awesome!

Disco fever! That’s hilarious, and I totally agree. I’m loving the iPhone case too. I think it is maybe the most subtle of the pieces.
Yeah… I hear ya. I would wear this trend sparingly. But that said, I’m sure that the accessories would all look great in my closet and would read as neutrals with most outfits! I love the sunglasses and the tote!
That’s true. I always forget that metallics are neutrals. They seem so unnatural to me most of the time, but you are right. They follow the rule.
Great finds! I especially like those loafers
I love the loafers too!
I knew exactly which one was the Proenza just by the color! I’m not a big holographic fan but the darker color they have is really nice. I think this trend needs to be done in small doses, like neon should.
I agree. Both neon and the holographs should be styled sparingly.
OH, I love that iphone case!

Hmmm..I like 2, 5, and 14. The rest im not sure how id style them or of I’d even wear them. Im not a fan of the shoes and I don’t have the legs to pull off those pants. Haha. I like the earrings because they’re a small fun detail.

Love all the items you posted :)
I’m unsure about this trend too. I think it’s a little too eye catching, but when you do it with something small like a ring or shoes it might look pretty cool :)

Very beautiful items… – but have to agree with you – you have to use these items carefully.. – and might best combine with single color items… :)

I love the sunglasses and that golden nail polish!!!

Seeing all these pieces together really made me think about how I feel about the trend – I think I’m on board in small doses! That Clare Vivier bag is pretty awesome (pretty much anything she designs is awesome) and the Deboarah Lippmann shade looks interesting as well!
The bag is very pretty, but the more I review my post I find I’m drawn to the sunglasses most of all.
Woooow I love your picks so so much, seriously what a great selection you’ve done!
Ooh, those ASOS shoes are similar to a pair that Alexander Wang did. Too bad they’re sold out in my size :(

That’s the worst! =[
So into this, it speaks to my inner elementary schooler that was so into holographic things and Lisa Frank (and holographic Lisa Frank things, whaaaaat!). Uh-mazing.

I think this a trend that should be carefully considered on a piece by piece basis. I would love to wear those sunnies and Stella McCartney sandals but I don’t think I could pull of those pants…
My thoughts exactly.
Great selection! The dress is so beautiful!

I am kinda digging the holographic trend as a pop of different to the outfit. My fave are the Miista Zoe iridescent both in Rose and purple, you must check them out.
In love with this trend! The Proeza Schoeler coin purse is unreal!

I love those pants I think I will pair them with a gorgeous knit jumper!
Great blog by the way!x
This shiny trend is way too great – even if I wouldn’t have any clue how to combine! Looks great :)
This totally takes me back to the 90s- Lisa Frank and shopping at Gadzook’s. :)
I would probably snap up a few accessories, but there’s NO WAY I could pull off those pants! Wow!
Great post, doll.

I LOVE this trend! Was about to write about it myself, as I’m planning to DIY at least anything holographic, Too bad it’s not that easy to get a hologrammed leather..

Woah, that’s like holographic heaven right there haha. Holographic nails are definitely the easiest to rock, I don’t think I could pull off the pants or tops, as fabulous as they are~
For the hand cream, a pea-size amount works just fine. Most body/hand creams don’t last me very long, as I feel like I have to re-apply every time I wash my hands or shower. (I also answered that in a reply, but just in case :P)
I too am a little bit hesitant about the holo trend. This has Lisa Frank written all over it…which isn’t a BAD thing, it’s just…well you know. However I started thinking about this trend juxtaposed to spring florals and pastels, and suddenly it seems absolutely beautiful. I would wear the heels in the upper left, the belt, the sunnies, and carry any of the bags. It’s a trend that is growing on me!
I’m so glad that you found me through Bloglovin!
That’s true. I think the metallic element of these pieces would pair well with spring florals. Lord help anyone who would wear that top and those pants together!
I love all of these things!! I’m such a sucker for anything that sparkles/shines/glows! :D heh
Thank you for the lovely comments, Kate!! :)
I’m seeing this trend in nail polish… I wasn’t sure what the big hoopla was. I’d definitely wear some shiny shoes :)

I’m loving this late 90s space-age trend that’s coming back! Anything metallic and shiny is always an a-okay by me. :) I’m especially loving those amazing heels and DL nail polish!
