Okay I can’t help myself, I’m going through a black and gold phase. (It’s just so chic!) Like I said in my last Music-Inspired Looks post, this month I have been asked to host the December Playlist for Work It, Berk. If you saw that post, you heard the remaining Music-Inspired Looks posts for the month of December will be inspired from songs from that playlist. This one was inspired by “I Was a Daughter” from Basia Bulat and is a major obsession song for me right now. I love her big floppy hat on the album cover and love the refined sound of this song. Tell me: What do you think of the song? Do you think the maxi skirt and floppy hat trend is on its way out or do you still like it? How do you feel about layering on the jewelry?

I seriously need every single piece in this board. Oh my. I still like maxi skirt and floppy hat trend. I have not tried it yet, but it’s so boho and i LOVE it. You, my dear, are a precious angel for leaving such sweet comments on my blog. YAY! A new friend!!
Those shoes!
For the most part, I love layering jewelry – so much fun! And hey, nothing wrong with black and gold ;)
Hi Kate!
I’m totally going through a black and gold phase as well. I won’t buy jewelry unless it has some gold in it. I think layering jewelry is a way to personalize your outfit even if you’re just wearing a white tee. You have an awesome blog here, we’ll be following you all the wayyy!!~
thanks for visitng my blog and leaving a comment! love ur blog and outfits!
Thanks for the lovely comment on our blog! I absolutely love this outfit you put together!
I can definitely wear this during the winter, just with a jacket on top!
What beautiful picks, I love the sweater, bag and hat :) But pretty much everything you’ve featured!
