Okay I can’t help myself, I’m going through a black and gold phase. (It’s just so chic!) Like I said in my last Music-Inspired Looks post, this month I have been asked to host the December Playlist for Work It, Berk. If you saw that post, you heard the remaining Music-Inspired Looks posts for the month of December will be inspired from songs from that playlist. This one was inspired by “I Was a Daughter” from Basia Bulat and is a major obsession song for me right now. I love her big floppy hat on the album cover and love the refined sound of this song. Tell me: What do you think of the song? Do you think the maxi skirt and floppy hat trend is on its way out or do you still like it? How do you feel about layering on the jewelry?

  3. Hi Kate!
I’m totally going through a black and gold phase as well. I won’t buy jewelry unless it has some gold in it. I think layering jewelry is a way to personalize your outfit even if you’re just wearing a white tee. You have an awesome blog here, we’ll be following you all the wayyy!!~
